摘要: The Extended GLOSS method of analysis has been presented here for components made of anisotropic materials. The method is based on two linear elastic FEA and involves local region softening. A modulus adjustment scheme is proposed for local region softening of anisotropic materials. The procedure involves a definition of representative stress-strain curve and assumes that the state of anisotropy remains same after local region softening. Several component configurations, subjected to mechanical as well as thermal loadings, have been analyzed and the inelastic strains predicted by the Extended GLOSS method are compared with the corresponding inelastic FEA and Neuber results.
