摘要: Switched reluctance machines (SRMs) are getting increased attention in electric and hybrid electric vehicle applications due to their robust construction, comparable efficiency to other types of synchronous machines, low cost, and high-temperature operation. However, the main drawbacks of SRMs are vibration and acoustic noise. In this paper, a new stator and rotor pole shaping is proposed to reduce the radial force and its harmonics which are key factors for the generation of acoustic noise and vibration in SRMs. The proposed pole shaping is compared with the conventional and curved poles in terms of their torque per ampere, and the radial performance through finite element simulations.
