摘要: In order to simulate cooling efficiency across a heat sink, flow regime visualization across a wavy channel is conducted through the study of adiabatic air-water flow [1]. Two concepts were taken into account regarding this study. First, the type of flow regime through a wavy channel and secondly the pressure drop across the channel. Using a high-speed camera, images and videos were obtained to determine the flow regimes at different air-water mixtures. In addition, the pressure drop across the heat sink was measured using a differential pressure transducer for all the observed flow regimes at various air and water flowrates. Through the results, it was observed that bubbly and intermittent flow were the two predominant flow regimes, and that the pressure differential increased with an increased mass flow rate of air.
