摘要: While urbanization can be observed in many countries, across the world people experience different issues related to urban growth, changes in climate and deficiencies in water management. Inefficient water systems and the occurrence of extreme precipitation events, such as a long dry season or floods hazards, impose even more difficulties to city planning. Therefore, identifying hazards risk and vulnerability are considered essential steps towards achieving urban sustainability and resilience [1] and should be an integral part of urban planning and design [2].The decision-making is now considered a process that combines different interactions of water resources (mainly the water cycle) with other city development activities (eg, population density, land use changes, economic development) and climate change. In recent years, there is a trend in applying spatial analysis (also called as Geographic Information System-GIS) and multiple criteria to better understand those interactions and support decisions in a realistic way. These modelling tools are used to assist urban planners to identify the most efficient strategies for cities [3] and help hydrologists to gain more concrete and truthful insights about what happens in hydrological processes.
