摘要: Rapid advances in information and communication technologies have added momentum to smart city initiatives. It is expected that issues related to smart cities will continue to dominate urban planning discourses in science and policy circles in the coming decades. By investing in smart solutions, planners and policy makers aim to solve societal challenges and improve the overall quality of life of people. One major challenge that cities have always dealt with is disaster risk management. In fact, given the high concentration of people and assets in urban areas, disaster risk management has always been high on the agenda of planners and urban authorities.
