摘要: In response to the Tasmanian Government’s Natural Resource Management Framework and its enabling legislation (Tasmanian Natural Resource Management Act 2002), three regional bodies have been accredited to manage natural resources in Tasmania. One of the key roles of the natural resource management (NRM) in Tasmania includes the management of water quality and quantity based on a ‘whole catchment approach’. Water quality problems have been reported throughout the state related to nutrient enrichment, salinity and erosion problems, mainly caused by agricultural practises (DPIWE, 2003). To improve these conditions, the resource management and planning system includes several stages of activities:
