Establishment of seed orchard (BSO) of Tamarindus (Tamarindus indica) at Farako-Bâ, INERA/CCREA field station.

摘要: This report documents the establishment of a seed orchard of tamarind (Tamarindus indica). In general, the report documents the progeny and provenance tests of T. indica from various locations in Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali. These tests were conducted to investigate the adaptive traits and to select good provenances and progenies of tamarind. It is suggested that the seed orchard should serve as gene bank, conserving the genetic resources of the species in the three countries.
