摘要: The success of Japanese firms in the 1980s has often been associated with their unique HRM model. However with the recent global recession, many firms in Japan are abandoning their traditional HRM model. Japanese firms are now seeking the Western HRM, and in particularly the American model as their source of inspiration. Although they have been a lot of related articles on the success of Japanese style HRM, only a handful articles are available on the end of the Japanese style HRM. Moreover, the articles are often limited from the context of Japanese firms operating in Japan. In relation to the end of the Japanese HRM abroad and the emergence of ‘dominance effect’theory, research findings are even limited.
