Surface phenomena at a bumper surface by electrochemical oxidation

摘要: The influence of mediated electrochemical oxidation method on the surface modification of PP-EPDM blends investigated by measurement of electrokinetic (zeta) potential, surface wettability and surface free energy evaluation. The results were compared with flame-treated sheets. The results revealed that electrochemical method improves significantly the bumper surface properties even in nitric acid alone. The results also demonstrated that the amount of zeta potential for the silver (II) treated sample is high in comparison with flame treated sample. In addition the results of zeta potential measurements of treated sheets and contact angle corresponded with each other.
