摘要: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has increasingly become an area of interest for both academics and practitioners. While existing research has predominantly focused on the macro-level understanding of CSR, this research provides critical engagement with the individual employee level of engagement with corporate responsibility. This research highlights the opportunities and barriers faced by both engaged employees and those hard to reach employees who are disengaged from organizational CSR efforts. Qualitative data gathered from three multinational tourism and hospitality organizations based in the UK demonstrates the criticality of human actors in organizational realization of CSR. However, it will not suffice to explore individual employees in isolation from corporate contextual factors of leadership and culture which influence employee perceptions of and engagement in CSR.
