摘要: This book presents the proceedings of a special conference by the same name. In August of 1996, prominent travel-demand researchers met in Stockholm to assess the state of the art and discuss useful directions for continuing research in this evolving field. Their work and thoughts toward this end are captured in this useful compendium of various issues facing travel-demand modelers.Although the book represents a collection of distinctly authored papers, the topics were specially solicited by the conference's organizers-who are the book's editors. Several themes are prominently woven throughout, and the chapters are thoughtfully ordered. Moreover, an introductory chapter and three section-summary chapters facilitate the reader's association of the material.
