Patterns of Anxiety and Communication among Children with Food Allergy and their Parents

摘要: MethodsEighty children (7-12 years old) with peanut, tree nut, egg, and/or milk allergy and their parents completed a baseline visit for a randomized controlled trial of a mobile application aimed at improving FA management. Parents and children self-reported FA anxiety and parent-child communication. Relations between primary study variables and child age, sex, and anaphylaxis history were examined. Latent profile analyses were used to identify subgroups of families with similar profiles on FA anxiety and communication.
