The multimedia super corridor: a physical manifestation of the Malaysian National System of Innovation

摘要: As the world steps into the era of a new economy where geographical boundaries are blurred by the wave of globalisation, this paper highlights the importance of a National System of Innovation (NSI). NSI is considered important because how a nation utilises and exploits its NSI will determine whether it will ride the wave of globalisation or be carried by it and thrashed onto the shores of the new economy. Governments have realized the significance of their countries’ NSI, this is why there is an increase in efforts to better utilize, exploit and enhance the various NSI. This paper will attempt to feature one such effort.
