摘要: Microorganisms were isolated from appropriate environment and bacterial DNA from their purified cultures was used for identification. After PCR amplification of two of them, the 16s rDNA gene fragments sequenced 839 bases for T3 microorganism and 1495 bases for T4 microorganism, and showed that both microorganisms belong to Pseudomonas genus. The identified microorganisms were then cultivated in specific media that induce calcium carbonate precipitation. The formation of crystals was monitored with optical microscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy. X-ray Diffraction was utilized in order to verify the composition of the crystals formed.
