摘要: This research focuses on an analysis of texture development in friction stir welded aluminum alloy The investigation was carried out on a 7136-T7651 aluminum alloy belonging to the high strength Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys Texture characterization was performed by means of X-ray Diffraction The objective of this study was to analyze changes in crystallographic texture in particular microstructural zones produced during friction stir welding stirred zone, thermo-mechanically affected zone and heat affected zone The texture analysis confirmed the complexity of the FSW process The main texture components revealed in the base material decreased significantly in intensity across the weld in a gradual manner The stirred zone was characterized by a very weak texture, however, a rotation of the strongest components was observed The rotation was related to the material flow during the welding process.
