摘要: This minisymposium is devoted to the interaction between mechanical and magnetic fields in ferromagnetic materials. Although magneto-mechanical effects cause undesired losses and vibrations in electromagnetic energy converters, they can also be utilized in sensors, actuators and energy-harvesting devices based on magnetostrictive materials or magnetic shape memory alloys. Both the advantages and disadvantages of magneto-mechanical behaviour are under active research, the scope of which varies from theoretical [1]-[2] to experimental [3] studies and applications [4].
