摘要: The woman was diagnosed with extensive stage small cell carcinoma of the ethmoid/sphenoid sinuses. She was scheduled for palliative chemotherapy with 6 cycles of carboplatin and etoposide every 21 days [routes and dosage not stated]. After her second cycle, she experienced fatigue. She also developed chemotherapy-induced anaemia, with a haemoglobin level of 9 g/dL [duration of treatment to reaction onset not stated]. She developed acute renal insufficiency after her third cycle, with a creatinine level of 1.6 mg/dL. The woman’s fatigue improved after she received RBC transfusions to treat her anaemia. Her creatinine level returned to baseline after she received IV fluids. At last report, a head MRI scan after her third cycle showed a very good partial response to chemotherapy.
