摘要: The article describes and discusses the SCK{center_dot}CEN Barometer, which is a methodology that has been developed to assess the Belgian population's perceptions of radiation risks as well as the population's attitudes towards nuclear technologies. The SCK{center_dot}CEN Barometer survey is conducted periodically since 2002 and is based on a large-scale public opinion assessment involving more than 1000 persons questioned. Since 2002, four editions of the Barometer have been issued, each with a focus on a specific theme or topic. Results of the Barometer are applied in the context of the improving risk governance processes of risk communication in connection with radiation risk and nuclear emergencies.
