摘要: Aim: To evaluate the accuracy of pre-transplant frozen section diagnosis compared with subsequent paraffin histology samples and to quantify the number of livers disposed by mistake due to inconsistent analysis in estimating levels of hepatic steatosis in the Clinical Hospital of Unicamp, Brazil.Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 90 cases; it was possible to make a confrontation of methods in 28 of them due to a good block conservation using paraffin emblocked HE comparing frozen bipsies performed at the back-table procedure.Results: Among such cases were identified compatibility results in 46.15% of cases of macrosteatosis and in 26.67% of cases of micro steatosis.
