摘要: Sialoendoscopy has recently gained popularity as a minimally invasive alternative to ablative surgery for obstructive salivary duct disease resulting from stones and strictures. Dilatation of the duct is usually accomplished through the natural orifice and an endoscope is used for visualization, navigation, and treatment of the duct system. Sialoendoscopy may be diagnostic or therapeutic. ¹ The purpose of this chapter is to discuss the experience with diagnostic and therapeutic sialoendoscopy at two American Centers—Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts, and Nova Southeastern University/Baptist Hospital, Miami, Florida.
