The effect of certain chemotherapeutic agents on cucumis virus 2C in bottlegourd (Lagenaria siceria).

摘要: Ten compounds were tested at various concentrations; acriflavine inhibited the development of mosaic disease by 50 % but was phytotoxic at the rates used (0 5 % and 1.5%). Crystal violet (6 p.p.m.) and 2-thiouracil (0.002 M) also partly inhibited the virus; the latter was phytotoxic.-Government agric. Coll., Kanpur, U.P., India.
