摘要: [Extract] Economic Geology published 81 papers in 2012. The first authors of the papers are from 14 countries, mostly from Australia (18), Canada (17), and the USA (16), followed by New Zealand (11), China (7), Switzerland (2), the UK (2), Japan (2), Morocco, South Africa, South Korea, Iran, Denmark, and Brazil (1 each). Three of the eight issues were special issues, including one on Archean magmatism, volcanism, and ore deposits (issue 5), one on mineral deposits in the Belt-Purcell Basin, USA and Canada (issue 6), and one on metallogenesis and mineralization of intraoceanic arcs (issue 8). The 81 papers cover 26 metals: Au, Ag, PGE, Cu, Pb, Zn, Fe, Ni, Cr, Mn, Mo, Co, Bi, Sb, As, In, Ga, Be, Ti, V, Zr, Nb, Ta, Y, REE, and U. With the significance of Fe ores, there are seven papers on various types and aspects of Fe deposits, including one discussion and one reply, and excluding three IOCG papers. Rare earth element (REE) mineralization was documented in three papers. Although the Sn and W prices have been strong in recent years, no research has been published in Economic Geology this year.
