摘要: Indole-3-acetyl-glutamate (IAA-glutamate) was extracted from soyabean cv. Hark seeds by (a) acetone partitioning and the residue applied to a Sephacel-acetate column, (b) application of the water phase to a Dowex-acetate column and eluted with NH4OH, (c) application of the water phase to a cellulose-acetate column, or (d) partitioning of the water phase with chloroform and purified on a polyvinyl-polypyrrolidone column. The material from (a) and (d) was further purified by HPLC, methylated with diazomethane and the bis-methyl ester purified by TLC. GL chromatograms had a major peak at the retention time for bis-methyl IAA-glutamate. It is concluded that soyabean seeds contain approx. 1.3 mg IAA/kg in a form with properties identical to IAA-glutamate.
