摘要: The smal) amplitude impedance of a corroding interface with mixed activation-concentration polarization is often represented by the equivalent circuit shown in Figure 1.'-3 In this circuit, Rs represents the ohmic resistance of the electrolyte betweeen the voltage sensing point of the reference electrode and the interface; Rt represents a charge transfer resistance (related to the corrosion rate); and Zd is a diffusional impedance resulting from mass transport limitations. C is the double-layer capacitance. This note presents arguments for the use of another configuration. This discussion wilt be restricted to a corroding system that results from coupling an anodic metal dissolution process, which is under simple activation control, with a cathodic reduction reaction that is under mixed activation-concentration polarization.
