摘要: Particulate reinforced Al matrix composites exhibit superior elevated temperature strength in addition to high specific strength and stiffness at room temperature". Several studies have investigated the mechanical behavior of SiC, reinforced 2XXX, 6XXX and 8XXX Al al-loys laying a greater emphasis on the role of SiC, and the effect of strain rate on mechanical properties at elevated temperatures". However, reported literature on the elevated temperature strength properties of high strength Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys reinforced with SiC, in general and those fabricated by casting in particular, is inadequate.
