A new method of isomerization of trans-1-propyl-4-(4'-dimethylamino) styryl pyridinium bromide

摘要: A new method of isomerization of trans-1-propyl-4-(4'-dimethylamino)styryl pyridinium bromide is reported. The isomerization has been carried out in water in the presence of silver oxide. The cis compound has been identified by spectral methods.
