摘要: Microencapsulated phase change materials (MEPCM) could be used for energy saving in various applications due to their relatively high and isothermal energy storage capacities. The form of their usage is in general as microparticle additives, slurries, fibers when incorporated to the geometry and fabrics when adhered on the surface. Many different kinds of MEPCMs have been developed on the core and shell basis. The core based researches focused on the application as the shell based ones intended to produce particles for application variety and and ease. MEPCMs have been characterized using common methods like differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), particle size analysis (PSA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
