User Modeling with Internet Browser Extension Tool

摘要: We outline and motivate a course of research investigating user models to improve search engine performance. Only through a better understanding of the human agent can we improve the search engine’s interpretation of a users’ search query and the user’s interpretation of the search engines’ results. We’re investigating the use of an Internet browser extension and interactive search engine result visualization to collect information search data for future linguistic and human factors analysis.
