摘要: The patients are seen quite frequently early in the postoperative timeframe, generally on day 1, then again between days 5 and 7, and in most cases, about 2 weeks later. The frequent checks are necessary to rule out the development of infection, to assess the overall healing process, and to also monitor for possible elevated IOP. The IOP may rise due to the direct effects of the trauma and possibly be exacerbated by the use of intraocular tamponade agents. Follow-up continues indefinitely, as there are numerous late sequelae of trauma, which may develop long after the initial trauma and associated surgical repair.
