摘要: The present work puts forward the analysis of stress through the thickness of carbon fiber/graphene nanoplatelet/epoxy hybrid laminated nanocomposites using finite element method. The elastic characteristics with varying volume fractions of carbon fiber and graphene nanoplatelet are calculated using a modified Halpin–Tsai model and the rule of mixture, and then using these properties, stress analysis has been done of the laminated hybrid nanocomposite. Three different laminating sequences have been used viz. unidirectional, cross-ply and quasi-isotropic. Quasi-isotropic laminates perform better in stress analysis as compared to unidirectional and cross-ply laminates. Stress values are same in laminae which have the same orientations to the direction of loading.
