摘要: Women’s sports illustrate the challenges to achieving fairness and equity in society, the obstacles presented by systemic inequities, and how these lead to long-term inequitable outcomes. The intertwined paths of sports and public administration evidence the transformative role they both play in shaping society and changing power dynamics to benefit all citizens. The authors propose a theoretical model that supports these intertwined paths toward social equity that have been demonstrated through women in sports and public administration. Together they can shatter glass ceilings/glass walls and break down patriarchal heteronormative hegemonic practices that hold back both sports and public administration from full inclusivity and equity.
