Flame retardancy and smoke suppression of intumescent flame-retarded composite of UPR.

摘要: Intumescent flame-retarding composite of UPR was obtained by adding pyrophyllite (PYR) and intumescent flame retardant (IFR, ammonium polyphosphate (APP)/pentaerythritol (PER)/melamine(Mel)) to unsaturated polyester resin(UPR). Flame retardancy, smoke suppression and thermal stability were studied by limiting oxygen index(LOI), UL94 flame retardancy, smoke density rate (SDR) and thermal analysis (DSC-TG). The results indicate that synergistic action between pyrophyllite and intumescent flame retardant is prominent. LOI comes to 36. 4. UL94 V-0, and SDR 62. 95 when m(PYR):m(APP):m(PER):m(Mel)=4:2:1:1 and the content of composite flame retardant 40% is added to UPR. These properties are satisfied to the application for ther-moset wiring of B(1) rate.
