摘要: [en] Microwave heating technique has its unique advantages with reference to low processing time, less consumption of reagents and maintenance-free adaptability to glove box/hot cell. Dissolution of sintered thoria pellets is one of the most difficult and tedious chemical processes in the nuclear industry specifically when thoria is cold-pelletised and sintered at higher temperatures. Present studies, for dissolution of sintered thoria pellets by using microwave heating technique, would generate data for process adaptation.(author)
