摘要: The study investigated land management decisions in the agricultural highland area of Kabale district in South Western Uganda. Data were analysed using multivariate regression techniques. Results showed that demographic characteristics such as farmer’s age, household size and education level; and plot level characteristics such as slope gradient and crop types were significantly associated with the choice of land management practices. The study recommends the strengthening of training and extension education programmes to support the adoption of land management practices in the agricultural highlands. Extension training and services linked to crop types (annuals and perennials) need to be strengthened. Training and extension services should focus on the best practices to use based on the slope gradients of plots.
