摘要: This paper was presented at the International Symposium, Regulation of Plant Integrity, held in Sep. 1985 at Brno, Czechoslovakia. Studies with peas, apples, spinach, wheat, rice and barley indicated that the GA forms in the vegetative tissue of higher plants were highly conserved in contrast to the multiplicity of GA forms found in developing seeds. GA forms in the seeds of a given species were often different from those in the vegetative tissue of the same species. The GA forms in the vegetative tissue of all the species investigated belonged to the early 13-hydroxylation pathway to GA1, in contrast to the wide range of hydroxylation patterns of the seed GA forms. Roots, like seeds, were more active sites of GA catabolism than shoots. In studies with peas, the conversion of GA20 to GA1 (expression of the Le-gene) was confined to the young shoot tissue.
