摘要: BACKGROUND According to the World Health Organisation, the workplace is a key setting for health promotion. Workplaces offer practical opportunities for promoting health and health behaviours, especially as working hours represent a large portion of the week, for a substantial proportion of the population. In 2023, the UK labour force included approximately 33 million individuals (76% of the UK’s working age population), with the majority working over 36 hours per week. In the same year, over 1.2 million workers were employed in contact (call) centres. Contact centre-based organisations are frequently cited as having sub-optimal working conditions, often resulting in poor health outcomes and increased turnover.
