摘要: Bioaccumulation of trace elements in the plant species growing on heaps of gangue of the closed uranium mine 'Radoniów' located in Poland was investigated. The waste materials acted as soil for plants growing on them. On the surface of the heaps, verrucose birches (Betula pendula), goat willow (Salix caprea) and pine trees (Pinus sylvestris) were found. Samples of the plant material showed increased concentrations of Zn and Pb. Degree of bioaccumulation of the elements depends upon type of species and on the physical and chemical properties of soil substrate.
