Potential activity of the Anthemis gayana leaves on fungi

摘要: Anthemis gayana is belong to Asteraceae family. This plant is from medicinal plants in Iran customary medicine. The aim of this study was to appraise of effects of the leaves methanol extract of the Anthemis gayana on the growth of the fungi. In this study after collecting and provision plant, leaves methanol extract were obtained using a Soxhlet apparatus. The effects of methanol extract antifungal were assessed using Agar Well Diffusion method. Dates were analyzed using AVONA test in the p< 0/05. Leaves methanol extract had more effect against Candida albicans (3153) and not showed any inhibition effect against Candida glabrata. Leaves methanol extract of Anthemis gayana have antifungal effects, therefore we will be able perform researches with extraction of this plant effective compound for the treatment of infectious diseases
