Earthworm (Oligochaeta) diversity of Kumaum Himalayas, India with first record of woodland blue worm Octolasion cyaneum (Savigny, 1826),(Lumbricidae)

摘要: Megascolecidae (Amynthas corticis, Amynthas morrisi, Amynthas alexandri, Amynthas gracilis, Metaphire anomala, Metaphire houlleti, Metaphire posthuma, Metaphire birmanica) and Lumbricidae (Aporrectodea trapezoides, Eisenia fetida, Octolasion cyaneum, Octolasion tyrtaeum) from sixteen different locations in the Kumaun Himalayas. Earthworm sampling was made from 263–2588 m above sea level ie, from the foothills of the Kumaun Himalayas to the higher altitude regions near the snowline during four months ie, June 2016 to September 2016 covering the major monsoon season in India. The lumbricid species woodland blue worm, Octolasion cyaneum has been reported for the first time from the Kumaun Himalayas.
