The Role of Zoledronic Acid Administration Among Lymphoma Patients Receiving Chemotherapy: A Systematic Review

摘要: Background: Lymphoma with bone marrow involvement may present with destructive bony lesions. Treatment recommendations with high-dose glucocorticoids and alkylating agents may result to premature bone density loss. This is associated with lymphoma-related cytokine activity and treatment-induced hypogonadism. Objective: It aims to identify the role of zoledronic acid therapy among patients with lymphoma receiving chemotherapy. Research Design and Methodology A systematic search of databases was conducted utilizing PubMed and Cochrane Library to identify relevant literature until June 2020. All available published studies with same research objective were included. The exclusion was applied in publications written in language other than English, review papers, or on-going clinical trials.
