摘要: The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused a severe public health disaster across the planet. The infection may result in a cough, cold, fever, exhaustion, pneumonia, pulmonary troubling syndrome or may be mortality. From starting of the COVID-19 pandemic time folkloric herbal treatments with significant effects have been applied alone or in conjunction with mainstream pharmaceuticals to heal affected human. It’s interesting to note that certain products may inhibit the angiotensin-converting enzyme II (ACE2) receptor or the serine protease TMPRRS2, as these two are highly important for SARS-CoV-2 to infect individual’s cells. The SARS-CoV-2 life cycle connected proteins like papain or chymotrypsin proteases were also demonstrated to be inhibited by natural products. A plant-based diet increases beneficial intestinal micro flora that are very much helpful and account for betterment of 85% of the immune system of any individuals. A traditional medicine system is based on medicinal plants. The present review article highlights on the very recent advancement of research on the application of natural products or plant mediated products to prevent or heal COVID-19 infection or severity.
