摘要: The thesis focuses on application of use-case for the system level performance evaluation of a manufacturing system with respect to worker allocation. The main purpose of efficient labor assignment is to achieve the optimal manufacturing condition, while reducing the corresponding negative aspects on the system. The success of a company in terms of production strongly depends on the efficient and effective usage of its resources. Nowadays, with enormous increase of competitive environment and the degree of complexity of manufacturing systems, the companies shifted their focus towards optimization even more. The knowledge about how a manufacturing system responds to the changes, in terms of relations between variables and how to achieve the optimum outcome from the system becomes a key factor for companies’ competitiveness. Therefore, in order to investigate several parameters of interest simultaneously, without interruption of production planning and affection of manufacturing system configuration, simulation tools have been developed. These tools allow to observe the sensitivity of system and find an alternative path as a solution to a specific problem, such as distribution of manpower. The thesis, in detail, will discuss the effects of labor force allocation, with different qualification levels of workers in specified operations, on the worker saturations and the effects of maintenance scheduling, mainly on saturation of machines but also operator saturations with what-if analyses.
