Proportional rules applied to the problem of sharing delay costs in PERT problems

摘要: We study how to distribute the cost caused by the delay of a project among the firms which are responsible for it. Some previous approaches to the problem can be found in Branzei et al (2002) and Bergantinos and Sanchez (2002). Our approach is based in a previous distribution of the slacks among the various activities in order to have a tight scheduling of them. The solution takes into account the duration of each activity and the extra time assigned to it (difference between the assigned time interval in the scheduling and the estimated duration of the activity). We define a parameterized family of rules with a common principle: if an activity is delayed and the project is delayed, this activity will be penalized. We must note that previously published solutions don’t necessarily satisfy this property.
