Closing Statement

摘要: To conclude the book and its contents, we will add a few brief refiections and remarks on the process of the creation as well as on the outcome of the book. Writing this book was like an educational journey for us. At the beginning of the book project, there was only our own interest in bringing together the topics of travel and sustainability that are also both personally relevant to us. As rather young researchers with a strong passion for travelling, our motivation for the book project came from our fascination to travel on the one hand and on the other hand from the desire to find an intact environment and nature also in the future, which still allows travelling to far distant places. In other words: We wanted to find ways of still being able to enjoy travelling in the future without the environmental impact becoming so high that travelling itself will no longer be possible.
