摘要: The physical prerequisites, adopted scheme, and operating principle of the "Irina" magnetic spectrometer for high-energy electrons and positrons are examined. The instrument is designed for operation on artificial earth satellites, has dimensions of 35 x 35 x 28 cm, a mass of 21 kg, a transmission of 0.07 cm2sr, an electron (positron) energy range of 20-200 MeV, energy resolutions of 50% for 20-MeV electrons and 100% for 150-MeV electrons, and a reliability in separation of positrons and electrons of better than 3. 10(-3) for an energy of 100 MeV.
