摘要: Managing any chronic disease is always a challenge to the specialist as well as to the primary care or family physician (PCFP). The challenges include the problems related to the disease parse, the associated co-morbidity and the influence of the disease and drugs on other related diseases. One of the common areas which a PCFP may encounter in his/her day to day practice is rheumatic disease. Having a prevalence of approximately 1-5% in a population, a PCFP may encounter a substantial number of patients in his/her care. The quote from the masterly article by M.
