摘要: To evaluate the predictive power of the dopamine test for microalbuminuria in type 1 diabetic patients with no renal involvement was the aim of our study. A low-dose (2.5 [micro] g/kg/min) iv dopamine (DA) infusion (30 minutes long) has been administered to 62 normotensive, normoalbuminuric type 1 diabetic patients (28M, 34F; age 27 [+ or-] 10 years, duration of diabetes 9 [+ or-] 5 years) and 22 healthy controls. During DA, albumin excretion rate (AER) increased both in controls (from 3.74 [+ or-] 1.0 to 21.7 [+ or-] 2.81 [micro] g/min) and in diabetics (from 6.09 [+ or-] 2.81 to 31.3 [+ or-] 34.9 [micro] g/min). Prevalence of" responders"(19 out of 62 subjects; 31%), arbitrarily defined as those individuals who showed a DA-induced AER increase within the higher quartile of distribution ([is greater than] 40 [micro] g/min) increased with diabetes duration: 2/17 (12%), 6/17 (35%) and 11/28 (39%) in subjects with [is less than …
