Typical orb-weaving spiders (Aranedae: Araneae) of Tea Ecosystem of Dooars, West Bengal.

摘要: Survey of spiders in the Tea Ecosystem of Dooars, West Bengal is initiated since 2008, witht the objective of addressing to the issues of pest problem. Our effort is largely concentrated in the following 7 Tea Estates: Kailashpur TE, Nepuchapur TE, Meenglas TE, Dalgaon TE, Kurti TE, Bhogotpore TE & Nagrakata TESpider samples, after careful evaluation, reveal the existence of 31 typical Orb-weaving species belonging to 11 genera. Of these one is reported as new from India, 3 from the state and 8 from the district Jalpaiguri. Table indicates the species recorded from the study area.
