Earthworm diversity in Uttarakhand, India: an ecological update

摘要: Earthworm survey was conducted in the selected habitats of selected districts in Uttarakhand, India. Earthworms were collected from Ramnagar, Kilburry, Nanadhaur (Nainital), Champawat, Tehri, Pauri, Chakrata. Nine genera and 18 species of earthworms were identified, belonging to the families: LUMBRICIDAE: Aporrectodea caliginosa, Ap. rosea, Ap. trapezoides, Eisenia fetida, Octolasion tyrtaeum; MEGASCOLICIDAE: Amynthas alexandri, Am. corticis, Am. gracilis, Am. morrisi, Am. robustus, Metaphire anomala, M. birmanica, M. houlleti, M. posthuma; MONILIGASTRIDAE: Drawida nepalensis; OCTOCHAETIDAE: Eutyphoeus waltoni, Octochaetona sp.;
