Optimization of AGC performance in multi-area power systems with RES and EV using fractional order PID controller

摘要: Nowadays the interconnected power system requires advanced generation control. Automatic generation control with conventional control techniques may not be able to meet required performance. The low frequency oscillations are commonly occurring issue in large power system. Introduction of renewable energy along with load disturbances, system become more complex and unstable. To eradicate such situations need a advanced control technique. Newly emerged fractional order controller is used as secondary order controller. Sudden load change and irregular penetration of renewable energy in the system can't able to mitigate by conventional generation in a small time frame. So, a supplementary source is required to supply sudden requirements. Electric vehicles (EV) will act as a supplementary source to mitigate these issues for a small-time.
